You ever wonder why some dry cleaning stores have a sign on them stating "ALL WORK DONE ON PREMISES" well its because many dry cleaning stores send your clothes out to drycleaning plant/facility/factory? and in doing so every once in a while a piece of clothing gets misplaced/lost/AWOL... never to be found again. But for the most part many stores will work with you in such a situation...
Also its a good idea to check all the pockets in the clothes you send for dry cleaning, trust me its worth the effort! You'll never know what you will re-discover in the long forgotton recesses of that dress shirt you wore at the company party last year and desparately need to get clean again for the upcoming company party this year...
You should also make sure to unbutton & un-zip everthing. It will make the counter person life a lot easier and helps to prevent your buttons getting broken off
